Room categories: Double room
Sustainability criteria:
Bicycle rental
Water-saving measures

- Perfectly located for exploring Snake Canyon
- Great starting point for hikes
- Friendly and helpful host

Getting to the Bait Bimah Travel Lodge is an adventure in itself. The eco-friendly guesthouse is located right in the middle of Wadi Bani Awf (pronounced Wadi Bani Auf), which is traversed by a winding, unpaved sand and gravel road. A four-wheel drive is absolutely necessary to reach this beautiful place.
The relatively simple rooms of the Bait Bimah Travel Lodge are clean and decorated with Omani weavings. The food at the lodge is simple but very delicious, and the host is extremely friendly and helpful.
However, the real highlight is the tours that can be started from the Bait Bimah Travel Lodge.
If you are a fan of canyoning, you should definitely explore the famous Snake Canyon. Don’t worry, it’s not named after dangerous snakes but because it winds like a snake through high cliffs with narrow paths and natural pools. Since flash floods can occur during rain, we strongly recommend taking a professional guide recommended by the hotel, who can read the weather and is familiar with the safest routes through the gorge.
For mountain bikers and hikers, breathtaking tours through the Wadi start from the Bait Bimah Travel Lodge. For example, you can head to Salma or Bald Sayt, a mountain village with traditional houses, winding alleys, terraced fields, and palm groves.

The Al Misfah Hospitality Inn is located in the village of Misfat Al Abriyeen, which is built in terraces in the rock. It was one of the first heritage hotels in the entire Sultanate of Oman. The multi-story building has been faithfully renovated and revitalized. This allows you to experience the authentic, unspoiled Oman of past days up close, for one or more nights.
The rustic character of the rooms is characterized by wooden beam ceilings, mud walls with niches, and decorations with Omani artifacts, such as sabers and wooden trunks.
The excellent breakfast and dinner are served on a spacious panoramic terrace on the roof of the Al Misfah Hospitality Inn. Here, you can enjoy an invaluable view over the rooftops of the old mountain village, the lush oasis landscape of the Wadi below, and the barren mountains in the background.

The compact rooms of the sustainably revitalized accommodation are decorated with traditional wall niches and typical local decorations. Each room has a small private bathroom.
The breakfast and dinner at Basmat Al Misfah are particularly noteworthy. The meals are made from organic food, some of which is grown or produced by the host himself. If interested, he is happy to give you a tour of his fruit plantation or the beehives.
Additionally, Basmat Al Misfah offers guided hikes and tours, such as through the Wadi Misfat Al Abriyeen with the refreshing option to bathe in natural spring water pools.
